Owners Mike & Karen Duke are retired chimney sweeps who have also been in the retail fireplace business since 1979. Both have extensive field and technical experience working in our home town of Richmond, Virginia. Mike suffered a 30' fall from a chimney and Karen has had 2 major back operations, so we enjoy spending most of our time these days in the store.
