One of my favorite childhood memories is sitting on the tree bench at my Grandma's house, overlooking the river in Deltaville. Of course, the shame was that her bench wrapped around a huge old holly tree and when the summer got dry, those thorny leaves would dare you not to walk barefoot out to sit on that bench. So I'm thinking I'll position my "around the tree" bench under my weeping cherry tree where there's a nice pine straw bedding to walk to it.
