UPS freight delivered this at 7:30 pm yesterday, amidst various weather delays and equipment issues. My husband decided that we should bring it in and "uncrate"it. Oh my gosh, it is beautiful. Our home is 200 years old, and was originally a Federal style with Greek Revival and Italianate influences, and we knew of one fireplace that was hacked to bits in a poor gas conversion. We excavated the other one on the reverse side. The mason we are working with found a brick labeled 1917, and determined that the shape of the firebox indicated it was a coal fireplace conversion. I am so glad I found your website, as the cast iron Starflower arch insert was just what we were looking for. - Lorie in CT
